The business is named in honour of the owner's beloved mother, Elizabeth May Gold, who has lived in Looe since 1999, starting a new life with her family in time for the new millennium.
Elizabeth (born in 1923) played a fundamental part in making it possible for Chris Belcher, the owner, to start the business she had until then only dreamed of.
Living life to the full
As you will see from the picture, Elizabeth, still lives a full life. She is pictured here (with her daughter Chris) at a ball in aid of the RNLI in February 2010, at the tender age of just 87 years young.
Elizabeth is modelling one of the dresses available for hire from Elizabeth of Looe and was out partying until gone midnight - outdoing many that were more than a couple of years younger than her.
Elizabeth continues to be an influence on Chris, especially in the friendly and courteous manner in which she treats each and every customer.
